About This Novel
"Grand" is the first novel selected by the great master Matsumoto Seicho. In order to pay tribute to the literary master Matsumoto Seiharu, Nippon Bunshun Bunko invited Miyuki Miyabe to edit and read a selection of Matsumoto Seiharu's masterpieces. As "a representative of Japanese civilian writers" and "Matsumoto Seiharu's daughter", Miyuki Miyabe compiled this set of Matsumoto Seiharu's masterpieces with the state of mind of strolling through flower paths and exploring pearls, and personally introduced important chapters. The selection of this book series starts from the unique perspective of Matsumoto Seicho's literary status, female crime and social criticism, and carefully selects Matsumoto's representative short works in these fields. It beat "White Night Journey" and "The Summer of the Bird" on Taiwan's unique list to become the annual mystery suspense champion (Taiwan's translation is "Selected Masterpieces of Matsumoto Seicho's Short Stories"), and its influence is evident.
