About This Novel

The grandfather of a Florida boy, Jacob, died mysteriously, leaving behind a strange and fragmented last words. Because I prefer to read these fantasy novels and movies, I accidentally discovered this movie adaptation. After reading it, I wanted to read the original work. I didn't expect that the plot was so vivid, the characters were colorful, and the whole story was tightly integrated. I also admire the author's imagination. He is really a wise person! ! I don't know if you like it or not, but I strongly support this book! ! Try to buy paper books!

A childlike gothic fairy tale
The content of the book is very suitable to my taste, but the plot progress is very slow, like a running account. The first half almost narrates the origin of the story, and the so-called "text" is not started until 40% of the book. Many readers who can't stand it give up reading the book early and miss the exciting plot in the second half. That's enough to cost the book two stars. The following plot is very exciting, the girl with flames coming out of her palms; the invisible boy; the twins who cover their faces. . . . When we are children, we often have such imaginations, and this book realizes our imaginations. It tells us: Fairy tales are not just fairy tales. As long as you still believe that there are such beautiful things in the world, then it must be real. Children are smarter than adults, and even defeat them in the end. This is a common plot in children's books, but this is not a deception. It is just maintaining the existence of childishness and making up for this riddled and heart-warming lie. Maybe this is not a lie, just like what is said in the book: As long as you still believe it, then it must be true.
