About This Novel

"Ping Yao Zhuan", also known as "San Sui Ping Yao Zhuan" and "Northern Song Dynasty San Sui Ping Yao Zhuan", is a long novel about gods and demons compiled by Luo Guanzhong and Feng Menglong in the Ming Dynasty based on folklore and popular stories in the market. Initially, there were only twenty chapters titled "Dongyuan Luo Guanzhong's Edition" during the Yuan and Ming Dynasties. After additions and adaptations by Feng Menglong, a popular writer in the late Ming Dynasty, it became the forty-chapter edition that has been popular since the late Ming Dynasty. It was written in the 48th year of Wanli in the Ming Dynasty.
