This book is the first part of "Heavenly Tribulation". It tells the story of retired special forces commander Lin He who accidentally came into contact with genetically modified reagents and became possessed of super powers. As a result, he learned that the earth has been dragged into a cosmic war that has lasted for hundreds of millions of years. One party in this cosmic war is an alien civilization named Hea, which has formed its own force on the earth, the Hea Legion. The members of the Hea Legion were originally Earthlings, but they have gained superpowers through genetic modification and no longer consider themselves human. Their leader, Dasayev, wants to welcome Hea to earth, even at the cost of allowing humanity to perish. At the same time, governments of various countries have organized the Earth Defense Force with the support of the other party in the Space War (the Interstellar Anti-Hea Alliance). A war is about to break out. However, Lin He received the news that except for himself, who accidentally possessed the same superpower as the members of the Heya Legion, everything was in Dasayev's plan, so only he could destroy Dasayev's plan. In the end, he went through all kinds of hardships and completed the mission of saving human civilization and repelled Hea's first invasion.
