Taking a longer historical period as the background, the author uses a unique romantic and surreal approach, focusing on the main line of population migration, to describe the ups and downs of a group of ordinary people in the changes of the past century. The language is vivid and interesting, calm and not impetuous. The author especially uses a female perspective to narrate the story, involving hundreds of people of various colors. It is the first full-length narrative novel with the central region of Inner Mongolia as the background. The story begins with a family migration in northern Shaanxi in the last century. They crossed the Yellow River and headed north to the vast plateau area at the foot of the Yin Mountains, where they took root and sprouted. After nearly a hundred years of time and space changes, from the old society to the new China to the reform and opening up, the story of several generations of ups and downs is a story of survival. The book describes in detail the customs, customs and habits of central Inner Mongolia, with unique local characteristics. It also uses ultra-delicate strokes from a female perspective to describe the living conditions and spiritual world of women in different eras that jointly maintain the continuation of life. The heroine of the novel is a third-generation woman in the family. She has an outstanding personality, forward thinking, and a strong romanticism. The book describes the protagonist and many female characters who grew up at the same time as her. After decades of earth-shaking changes in the times, they longed to break through the reality, realize themselves, and pursue the growth of spiritual realm.
