About This Novel
"Zizhi Tongjian" is an unprecedented chronological general history compiled by Sima Guang of the Northern Song Dynasty. At that time, it was mainly for the purpose of "taking stock of the rise and fall of the past and examining the gains and losses of the present". It had a profound influence. On the basis of respecting the original work, this book selects some of the essence, appropriately deletes the bibliography in the original work, and refines the title. Great book! Read slowly. After reading modern vernacular books for more than ten years and looking back at ancient books, I realized that Chinese writing is flexible, cultural heritage is profound, and the national spirit is tenacious. Perhaps this is the reason why China has survived five thousand years of existence in the world. Foreign invasions are either eliminated or assimilated.
