"Historical Records" is the first biographical general history in Chinese history compiled by Sima Qian during the Western Han Dynasty. It records more than three thousand years of history from the Yellow Emperor to the Taichu reign of Emperor Wu of the Han Dynasty. It was originally called "Tai Shi Gong", or "Tai Shi Gong Ji" or "Tai Shi Gong Ji".
