This book examines the poetics of the late Yuan Dynasty from three aspects: the changes in academic culture and the evolution of poetic thoughts in the middle and late Yuan Dynasty, the spiritual idols of the times and the approach to poetics in the late Yuan Dynasty, and the mentality of literati and the evolution of poetic thoughts in the late Yuan Dynasty. This article focuses on how the poetics of the late Yuan Dynasty evolved from the poetics of the previous generation, and how it participated in the construction of later generations' poetics, thereby revealing the diversity, compatibility, regionality, and universality of the poetics of the late Yuan Dynasty. This book believes that a poetic system with comprehensive contents such as poetry creation theory, poetic concepts, poetic criticism, poetry writing skills and common sense has begun to take shape in the late Yuan Dynasty, which directly started the rise of Ming and Qing poetics. If this link is ignored, the history of Chinese classical poetry will be impossible to connect.
