The narrative and research objects of this book are the overall context, main characteristics, and important writers and works of Jiaodong new poetry and prose since 1949. The first part is the study of contemporary Jiaodong new poetry. One of the clues is to explore the creative achievements and characteristics of Jiaodong new poetry in two historical periods from the 1950s to the 1970s and since the 1980s. It is mainly divided into political lyric poetry, local poetry, love poetry, landscape poetry and other types to be discussed one by one. The second clue is to conduct a separate discussion on the creations of important poets, focusing on the uniqueness of the poets. The second part is the study of contemporary Jiaodong prose. The overview part describes the basic context and main characteristics of the development of Jiaodong prose since 1949. Then, as the prose content is complex and not suitable for simple classification, two essayists with outstanding achievements and great influence in the historical period are selected for in-depth and specific analysis to present the overall situation of contemporary Jiaodong prose.
