About This Novel

"Songs of Exiles" is a collection of poems by the famous modern poet Mu Mutian. The book contains a total of 42 poems, including "We Want to Sing New Hymns", "Strafing", "The Death of Two Giants", "The Sorrow of the Exiles", "The Wind Blows in July", "Their Tears Falling in the Autumn Wind", etc. These poems were mainly written between 1932 and 1944. The reality of national peril during the Anti-Japanese War prompted Mu Mutian's poetic style to shift from early symbolism to realism. Writing for the survival of the country and the national war has become the main purpose of Mu Mutian's poetry creation.
