Everyone has a compassionate heart, and maybe a small, inadvertent act will touch the thread of fate. No matter what crimes they committed, Asagi and his daughter can always have kind thoughts and end the bond between Kaga and her son. This is very heartwarming. Although this is a murder novel with suspense and reasoning, there is nothing blunt at all, and every detail reveals various emotions. This is wonderful and worth reading.
This is often the case when reading Keigo Higashino's books: I already know who the murderer is halfway through the book, and this kind of knowledge does not mean that the suspense in the book is very shallow, or that the readers are all detectives, but that the author will directly give suspects and hints, and sometimes even express them, but I still think about the ending, how it is done and why it is done like this.
