About This Novel

"The Hero of the Yangtze River" Lu Zijian is a novel. Lu Zijian was born in Yichang in the late Qing Dynasty. He was superb in martial arts, chivalrous and courageous, supporting the weak and suppressing the strong. CCTV and "People's Daily·Overseas Edition" have made special reports, and the Yichang Museum of History has a directory of it. He dueled with the Japanese ronin Hideo Mitsui at the Yichang military field and beat him until he vomited blood. He was known as the "Yangtze River Hero" because of his national humiliation as the "Sick Man of East Asia". In order to regain the shipping rights of the Yangtze River, he once led the Yichang boxers to uphold national justice and thwart the arrogance of foreign shipping companies and their minions. Defeat the provocative Japanese Ronin and American boxers, and shock the martial arts world. This book expresses this period of his heroic history. The literary script of the film of the same name was supported by the Literary Quality Project of the Propaganda Department of the Yichang Municipal Party Committee; some chapters were published in "Dajiang Literature and Art" in 2021.
