About This Novel

The Chu-Han struggle for hegemony took place at the end of the Qin Dynasty. In order to overthrow the violent Qin rule, heroes from all walks of life rose up in rebellion. Xiang Yu and Liu Bang were the two main forces. Xiang Yu proclaimed himself the Overlord of Western Chu, enfeoffed eighteen princes and kings, and named Liu Bang the King of Han. From August 206 BC to December 202 BC, two major power groups, Xiang Yu, the overlord of Western Chu, and Liu Bang, the king of Han, launched a large-scale war to compete for political power. It ended with Xiang Yu's defeat and Liu Bang's establishment of the Western Han Dynasty.
