Global History
by (uk) George Wells (us) Carlton Hayes
About This Novel
"A General History of the World" co-written by British historian George Wells and American historian Carlton Hayes is a world-renowned classic and is known as the pioneering work in the field of world history. Since its publication, it has been translated into more than a dozen languages in many countries and has been unanimously praised by readers around the world. The Chinese version of this book was translated by the well-known translator Li Yunzhe, who took five years to translate it word for word and sentence by sentence, with reference to a variety of materials. The text is fresh and meaningful, interesting and profound, and the structure is grand. It authentically shows the original style of "Global History" and can be called a classic model of translation. The book starts from the origin of human beings and prehistoric civilization - the birth of the Paleolithic Age, and runs through thousands of years, analyzing five continents, and ends with the end of World War II and the beginning of the Cold War. The book is divided into twenty chapters, taking the evolution and development of human civilization, especially the four major civilizations, as the longitude, and taking the prosperity, decline, and changes of world regions as the latitude. It is written vertically and horizontally, with more than 500,000 words, to provide a perspective on the rise and fall of global civilizations and the historical process. After reading this book, you will not only have a clear picture of the interpretation of the world from ancient times to the present, but also have a profound and even philosophical understanding of global trends and future. George Wells and Carlton Hayes are both giants in world history. Their "General History of the World" is different from other authors' general history versions. Not only is the content more detailed and richer, the coverage is deeper and broader, but the text is also more concise and popular. It is suitable for readers of all ages and knowledge levels. It is a must-read for understanding global history.

A very nice and easy-to-read general history of the world
A primer on key historical developments around the world. Every continent, country, region, religion, and race in the world has an equal length introduction. The writing style is neutral, objective, and easy to understand (leaving aside the comparison with other related and more detailed history books). Books for all ages. Reference it.
This book's partiality towards Jews and prejudice against Chinese culture makes it unbearable to read. This book does try to be all-inclusive as the title suggests, but the author's personal atmosphere makes the text broken. But I still recommend reading it to the end. As long as you can argue or think about it, it is beneficial. I have to edit my thoughts. If you do not have your own understanding of the content of each party, I do not recommend reading such foreign, broad-based, popular readings. There is content here that is entirely due to the author's personal preferences and is overly opinionated. The popularity itself allows him to talk without being rigorous and without providing proof. If you happen to know it, you can naturally entertain it in a popular way. Unfortunately, if you don't know, that's probably all you'll get from this.
Study hard and work hard every day!
We live in a wonderful world
The historical clues here range from ancient times to the present, from the origin of living things to the emergence of human beings, to the Paleolithic Age to the Neolithic Age, to agricultural civilization, to industrial civilization until the beginning of the Cold War between the United States and the Soviet Union after World War II. In this book, you will see the wonderful story of Buddha Gautama and his supreme life insights. You will appreciate the military dominance of Genghis Khan, Napoleon, and Hitler. You will be able to review and make up for the geography and history knowledge you had in middle school because there are exciting detailed descriptions of one stop and World War II. It will be even more impressive if you can read it with a world map, because the strategic positions and geographical locations of each country are mentioned. After reading this book, I have some understanding of the history of each major country, each major religion, and all the famous wars and revolutions in history. This is a good book that people who want to broaden their horizons should read. It can provide guidance for themselves in everything from their own lives to the world structure! [Emot=default,14/]

A deeper understanding of the world pattern
This book has a detailed description and introduction from ancient times to the end of World War II. If you read it carefully, you will have a more correct guide to your own three views, and you will also have a more comprehensive and profound understanding of world culture. It is long and takes a long time, but it is still worth it. Recommended reading
The fight in the world is endless because people are selfish in nature and want to keep resources in their own hands. A great politician is worthy of respect. Compared with politicians, politicians are better able to shine the light of humanity on the world.
I've finished watching it and checked in. It only ends with the beginning of the Cold War. It's a pity.
Concise, easy to understand, very good historical records and books
