About This Novel
"K Company" is March's first novel. It is based on his personal experience fighting in Europe. It has a strong autobiographical color and is a semi-fictional and semi-biographical war literature work. As a semi-biographical literature, K Company uses the autobiographies of 113 officers and soldiers as the main body. It uses vivid and unknown battlefield stories to tell the experiences and feelings of American soldiers during World War I, highlighting the psychological and cognitive changes they experienced in the reality of war. Therefore, this book can be called a psychological and emotional history of World War I soldiers. As a semi-fictional literature, although the author March is a war hero, K Company expresses strong anti-war sentiments, breaking the government's plan for this war by the participating countries during World War I.
