I suggest the author learn how to use adjectives
At the beginning of the first chapter, you are told to quit. Read it for yourself. Is there any such adjective used? A zombie-like, extremely stiff hand dangled back and forth like a windshield wiper grew out of the bed. The male protagonist sat up in shock while dying of illness in his bed. Don't you think it's too repetitive? If it's just to make up the word count, pretend I didn't say anything, which will affect the reading experience.
