About This Novel
I often think about the interesting things I encounter in life, if I were not there, would they still happen? It feels like it will, but it seems like it won't. Later I read a classic question of idealism: If a tree falls in the forest, if no one hears it, will it still make a sound? I couldn't help but feel an ancient tacit understanding, and I seemed to have the answer in my heart. Falling trees always make noises, whether anyone hears them or not, and interesting things happen, whether I'm there or not. The difference is: people are just passers-by to the tree, and I can be a bystander, participant and recorder of the story. The tree will not make a louder sound because people are listening, but the story will become a little different because I join in. And these different stories that I have personally experienced may be interesting, energetic, or legendary. I want to tell you one by one.
