About This Novel
A pair of space travelers accidentally discovered a "drift bottle" while traveling among the stars. The manuscript in the bottle told a shocking story: In the year 2500, earthlings Ulysses, Ann Taylor and Artur took a spacecraft to "Thorol", a planet in the "Betelgeuse" galaxy, and found that the world was ruled by apes. Humans had no ability to think or speak, and were no different from other animals. Artur was killed by an ape, and Antel quickly assimilated with local humans and became an animal. Only Ulysses gained the friendship and trust of the apes through unremitting efforts, and found out the secret of the evolution of apes and the degradation of humans. He also met Nova, a woman on the planet "Thorol", patiently taught her how to speak, cultivated her logical ability, and gave birth to a son with her. But when he returned to the earth with his wife and children after all the hard work, he found that things and people had changed, and the earth had also repeated the same mistakes, becoming a world ruled by apes. At the end of the novel, there is a subtle hint that the two space travelers who picked up the drift bottle are also orangutans. In fact, the entire space has become a world of apes.
