About This Novel

This collection of short stories comes from 8 short stories published by Renjo Mikihiko in the magazine "ALL Reading" from 2000 to 2009. Among them, "The Little Foreigner" was Liancheng's last short story in his career. It was published in the same year that he suffered from gastric cancer and shocked the Japanese literary world. This abduction novel uses Renjo Mikihiko's rare children's perspective, creating a playful and warm-hearted work, which has been hailed as a "miracle work". In the second year after Liancheng died of gastric cancer, the publishing house released a collection of selected short stories "Little Foreigners" to the world. It included 8 short stories that had never been published before Liancheng's death. Different themes were selected from his mature writing style. After reading it, you will have a sense of "Liancheng's life condensed". The eight short works are: "The Ring", "Unmanned Station", "Until the Orchids Fade", "Winter Roses", "Miscalculation of the Wind", "White Rain", "Until the End" and "Little Foreigner", depicting eight suspense masterpieces of human nature full of love, hate and suspicion.
