About This Novel
"Happiness" is the first collection of novels by Dan Bao, a writer born in the 1980s. It contains nine short stories and short stories about family. In the story, there is a Taoist priest who runs away, a widowed middle-aged woman, a lonely geologist, a globetrotter holding a platinum card... These various people have a mixed love and hate for home. Some of them escape and run away, but some also have longing for sustenance. They make positive or negative efforts around home and happiness. Family is the smallest unit of social organization. We all grow up in it. As we grow older, we need to decide whether to re-engage in it. The author uses a series of stories to cut into the important topic of family that cannot be judged by simple values - salvaging the bones of life in the sea of people, using bits and pieces of reality to annotate fantasy. In these novels, "blackheads" appear five times, "Nietzsche" and "Althusser" appear once each, "nose hair" twice, "teeth washing" twice, "face steaming" once, and some people who think a lot.
