About This Novel
The pure smoke smell of Craven "A" slowly drifted over from the jazz. Looking back - Hey, it's her again! Sitting on a table over there, smoking silently. I often meet that girl with a small square face in a Parisian style, and she brings a new man with her every time. I have noticed her since the first time I saw her. She has two kinds of eyes. When she smokes Craven "A", her eyes are like light gray Vienna velvet. Through the light smoke, her eyes are so pale that she can't see anyone. She looks in front of her inadvertently; she shines on the handbag. When she was putting powder on the mirror, dancing, laughing, or talking, she had a pair of cunning, mouse-like dark eyes. She looked at people flexibly from the edge of the mirror, from the shoulders of her dance partners, and from the wine glass, as if she wanted to steal every man's soul.
