God, Mérimée's novels are so good. I read a lot of Russian works during the winter vacation, and my mind was full of realism. Once I switched to a French writer, my taste changed immediately. Sure enough, the romanticism is really engraved in my bones. Although he is a very niche writer, I have to say that his works are very imaginative. I recommend Mr. Liu Mingjiu's translation. Master Liu's strength is worthy of his fame.
