About This Novel
This book tells the story of the young girl Li Xiuer. Li Xiuer comes from a poor family, and her father Li Sansheng used to make a living by performing "ghost fighting" on the streets, but unexpectedly fell ill. Introduced by several neighbor girls, Li Xiuer went to an art school to work as a nude female model without telling her father. She also worked as a model in the Art Palace organized by the school teacher, and her life improved. But when Li Sansheng learned about Li Xiuer's work, he was very angry and abandoned his home. He picked up his old business of "ghost fighting", but died of exhaustion on the street. Li Xiuer met Duan Tiande, a student at school. Duan Tiande fell in love with her at first, but was abandoned by him and eventually went crazy.
