The Ship Noir (marguerite Duras Series)
About This Novel
"Ship of the Night" tells the story of two young people who don't know each other and talk about their love endlessly over the phone in the dark night. The passionate longing, restless anticipation and painful lust drive the two lovers crazy. However, they refuse to realize their desires in pain and refuse to let simple love take over. The author mixes shortcomings and desires, making the "Night Ship" a ghost ship sailing at night carrying sexual temptations. When Duras wrote the "Aurelia Steiner Series", she claimed to be writing the history of the Jews. She sympathized with the unfortunate fate of the Jews during World War II. The Holocaust of the Jews by the German Nazis made her feel heavy. She wrote Aurelia undoubtedly to vent the great pain buried in her heart that she had never expressed.
