About This Novel

I didn't say a word about my next plans, not even a formal farewell... I thought we still had time and would meet again. Today, I have lived at Birchwood Manor for 155 years. When I was a child, they said that I was the daughter of a watchmaker, a little girl with another purpose; before I became an adult, Edward said that I was his muse and a destiny that he could not escape; after that summer, the world said that I was a thief and an impostor. And my real name has long since been buried deep under the trickle of time along with the truth of that summer, and will never return.
