Fermat's Final Theorem
by (japanese) Japanese Cherry Blossom Peel
About This Novel
Katsuhito Kawanishi, 27 years old, works as a contract clerk in a bookstore during the day and in an izakaya at night. One day, Katsuhito opened a book in the store related to Fermat's final theorem, and he became very interested in this legendary theorem in the history of mathematics. Even in his dreams, he would go back to the distant past and rack his brains to demonstrate the theorem with the great mathematicians of the time... Katsuhito began to seriously consider going to university to study mathematics. However, his idea was opposed by Kaori, a frequent guest at the izakaya. In order to let Kaori understand the infinite charm of mathematics, Katsuhito would explain the theorem to Kaori every night. As time goes by, Kaori is gradually infected by Katsuhito's enthusiasm, and she makes an astonishing decision... However, just as proving Fermat's final theorem will not be the end of mathematical research, the vague love between Kaori and Katsuhito does not end there...
