About This Novel

"The Adventures of Tom Sawyer" is one of Mark Twain's most popular and beloved novels. Published in 1876, the book describes the innocent life of a group of children led by Tom Sawyer in a small town in the southern United States before the Civil War. In order to get rid of boring homework, hypocritical teachings and rigid living environment, they tried various adventure experiences and did many hilarious things. It is a companion piece to Mark Twain's most important masterpiece, "The Adventures of Huckleberry Finn". It is not only a great children's work, but also a pastoral hymn from the "Golden Age" of America.
