"The Gadfly" (The Gadfly), written by the Irish female writer Egel Lillian Voynich, describes the life of the Italian revolutionary Gadfly. The protagonist, Arthur, a naive and naive patriotic young man, was misunderstood by his revolutionary comrades, so he pretended to commit suicide by drowning in a river and fled to South America. Thirteen years later, when he returned to his hometown with a disability, the painful experience had tempered him into a determined revolutionary.
