The author underestimates the Imperial Inquisition a little. When the protagonist is not an Astartes, and shows combat prowess beyond that of a mortal, the Inquisition will not analyze whether the protagonist is an unregistered psyker or a person blessed by the evil god, and will only directly kill the protagonist. (Even if the Inquisition believes that the protagonist is a psyker, it is useless. The psykers discovered were all sent to Terra to be burned as firewood.
