A long time ago, my family lived in a remote mountain village in the middle of the "Yishunzhao" wilderness. The so-called "Yishunzhao" is actually an irregular wasteland in the west of the Songnen Alluvial Plain, which is now the land in Datong District, Daqing City, Heilongjiang Province. I heard from my grandfather that they migrated from the south at the beginning of the last century. At that time, there were only five households living together in the village, so it was named "Five Big Households". Although it was already in the early 1950s when I remembered, the beautiful scenery of the grassland, the life-threatening battle between humans and wolves for territory, and the ghostly performances of the "Two Immortals" in the human world are still vivid in my mind. Although the grasslands at that time were sparsely populated, thrilling noises could be heard from every remote village from time to time.
