"The Poetry of the Monk and the Poetic Monk" is one of the "Collected Works of Sun Changwu" (No. 15). It is an unpublished monograph by Professor Sun Changwu. It contains twelve articles including "Zhi Dun - Famous Scholars Under the Kasayas", "Jiaoran Poetry and Its Theory of Poetry", "Several Guanxiu of "Fantastic Thoughts and Strange Sentences"", "Qi Ji - "The only thing that is not stained by the dusty atmosphere is "White Lotus""", and "The Reclusive Poetic Monk - Zhiyuan". The life and creation of ten famous poetic monks from the Eastern Jin Dynasty to the late Qing Dynasty is analyzed. Their artistic thinking, lifestyle, work style and literary pursuit are analyzed. Against the grand historical and cultural background, the historical status and ideological contribution of the "poetic monks", a group with unique aesthetic value and historical influence, in the development of Chinese culture are outlined point by point. The research in this book has opened up the two fields of Chinese classical literature and religious culture, enriched and completed Mr. Sun Changwu's research system, and reflected his scholarly characteristics.
