"The Veil" tells the story of the young and beautiful Katie, who hurriedly agreed to the proposal of bacteriologist Walter in order to get rid of family pressure. However, this loveless marriage did not allow her to obtain the wealth and status she expected. After her husband went to Hong Kong, Katie fell in love with a married man and thought she had met true love. But after the affair was revealed, her lover immediately abandoned her for the sake of his reputation.
