Collection of Short Stories by Harms
About This Novel
This book is a compilation of Harms' works at the peak of his creative period. The first 30 pieces are from his most famous short story collection "The Accident", the 31st piece is the widely circulated novella "The Old Woman", and the remaining four pieces are selected from erotic short stories in his manuscripts. This work can be regarded as the best starting point for understanding Harms. It is short, concise, humorous, and full of dream-like fragments. There are exaggerations and nonsense in Japanese comics, as well as violence and jokes. As can be seen from the title "Accident", the whole book is a story that happens inadvertently in life. The protagonists fall, collide, look at each other, or die suddenly.

Out of excessive curiosity, an old woman fell from the window and fell to the ground, a mess. Another old woman stuck her head out of the window and looked down at the broken man, but due to excessive curiosity, she also fell from the window and fell to the ground, a mess. Then a third old woman fell from the window, then a fourth, then a fifth. After the sixth old woman fell, I got a little tired of watching it, so I got up and went to Malitsevsky Market. It is said that someone gave the blind man a knitted shawl there.
Absurd fragments, but every frame sparkles with a source of inspiration.
