The aristocratic boy and girl Kiyoaki and Satoko are childhood sweethearts. As they get older, the relationship between the partners turns into love between a man and a woman. The two failed to adapt to the changes in emotions, resulting in suspicion and estrangement. It wasn't until Satoko was engaged to the royal family by her parents that the two of them acted in a panic. The love that could have developed naturally and matured turned into a dangerous affair.
