Black Horse
by Anna Sewell
About This Novel
"The Black Horse" is the most popular work of British female writer Anna Seaver, and it is also the only novel in her life. The novel became a global sensation as soon as it was published. The author narrates the bitter experience of the black horse's life in the first person. It was a good breeding horse with a gentle personality and high energy. However, it had an unfortunate fate and changed its owner several times. At first, it was well treated by the noble manor owner. However, the good times did not last long. Changes occurred in the owner's family and the black horse was sold. As it grew older, it was sold again and finally became a coolie horse, experiencing the ups and downs of the world. Fortunately, the black horse in his later years has a good ending. After this book came out, it has been popular in Europe and the United States, influencing generations of readers and arousing people's care for animals.

I see the whole society from the perspective of horses. Be kind to animals. We may not publish a book to tell people this truth like the author, but we can still do our part to protect animals.
Anna's works are about kindness and trust, cleansing the soul.
I remember that when I went to Aden that year, I had to ride a horse to go up the mountain. The herdsmen let the women and children ride horses, and the men rode mules. The tour guide said it was because the herdsmen loved their horses too much and couldn't bear the horses being too tired. At that time, I actually muttered "stingy" in my heart. After reading this book, I said "I'm sorry" across time and space!
