About This Novel

You may not know that ice is a very common object that falls from airplanes, and Sarah's mother died from such a piece of ice falling from the sky. Adults are saying: "I hope time can heal the pain." But "time heals wounds" is useless nonsense to Sarah, because time no longer passes for Sarah and her father, they are trapped. A few years later, Sarah's father remarried, and life seemed to be back on track. Dad took Sarah and his pregnant new wife back to their old house. Sarah heard her father mentioning his mother who died unexpectedly to his new wife: "She was so unreal, as if she was cut out of a movie. Maybe she needed that kind of death." Sarah didn't understand why her father, who once cried and wailed bitterly, was sitting there as if nothing had happened, saying "Oh, yes, this plot is quite suitable in the story." Is it so easy to forget the past?
