About This Novel

Before I became a cartoonist, I was an unnoticed director at an advertising agency. It was not going well at that time. I really wanted to resign, but I didn't know what to do. I can't do anything like opening a store, I don't speak English, and I haven't passed the driver's license test... The fun is drawing comics. I kept drawing whenever I had free time, and as I drew, I thought, maybe I could quit my job and become a professional cartoonist. In the fifteenth year of working in the company, I drew a hundred four-frame cartoons and submitted them for submission. I thought I could resign after winning the award, but unexpectedly I was not selected at all. Later, I drew another hundred three-frame cartoons, thinking that if this one could be sold, I could quit my job, but that didn't happen either. During these years of discouragement, I still did not give up my painting brush. It took three years to draw a thirty-two-page comic. Until one day, I received a call in a tavern: "Mr. Abe, congratulations on winning the Newcomer Comic Award!"... Ah, I can quit my job this way!
