Circles drawn with blue chalk appeared continuously on the streets of Paris late at night. Inside the circles were discarded sundries such as beer bottle caps, vegetable boxes, shoes, magazines, hats, etc. They were different every time, with the same sentence written on the sides. Is this a prank by a quirk, or is there another conspiracy? Sheriff Adamsberg thought the matter was strange and felt that something unusual would appear in the circle. He sent people to investigate and arranged for guards. Sure enough, corpses began to appear in the circle.
