About This Novel
This book is the first direct translation of Rilke's classic novel from German in mainland China. "Notes of Brig" is the only novel written by the poet Rilke in his life. It took six years to write. There is no plot throughout the book, just fragmentary random thoughts. Many fragments of the novel are taken directly from Rilke's letters and diaries. In Rilke's original manuscript, other versions of the first and last sections exist. There is still no translation of these original materials in China. Therefore, in the Chinese version, these precious materials will also be added after the main text.
