About This Novel
This legend of the Taotie Chongming period has been circulated in later generations: During the Tang Dynasty, Duke Xue Zongping of the Kingdom of Wei and his wife Wang were childhood sweethearts since they were young. The Duke used thousand-year-old black iron to build the male and female sword Taotie Chongming in two years, and married Wang with the female sword Chongming. Years later, Taotie fought with Chongming. As soon as Taotie hit Chongming, it broke into two pieces at the point of impact. It turns out that when forging the two swords, the Duke used his heart's blood as a guide and used the lost sword-making skills to make the Taotie strike Chongming, and the Taotie would be broken. It is said that the Duke of the State once said: Wherever you are, across mountains of swords and seas of fire, I will go there. People at the time sighed: It's a pity that the Duke is so infatuated, but it's a pity for these rare treasures.
