Venus in Fur Coat
by (austrian) Leopold Sack Mossock
About This Novel
The novel tells a story of being abused for love. It depicts for us the protagonist Saunin who wants to realize his love fantasy. Saunin is a European nobleman who falls in love with the beautiful Wanda and feels that the best way to express his love is to be enslaved by her. Wanda reluctantly accepted the "servant" and named him Gregor. However, she believed that Gregor's love was a great shame to her. The novel describes Saunin's emotional delusions and the "ideal" sexual approach he finds in the ruthless Wanda. In this sad and painful love story, the author uses a sympathetic tone to describe Saunin's sexual orientation that is different from ordinary people, and panoramically reproduces the true emotional process between him and his ideal partner, Wanda.
