About This Novel
This book is the representative work of American writer Mark Twain. It describes that the prince Edward and the pauper Tom changed places with each other through a strange coincidence. The prince became a pauper and the pauper became a prince. Pauper Tom wears the prince's clothes and enjoys all the glory and wealth in the palace, and becomes the new king of England. But the real prince Edward wandered around and had to endure poverty and the bullying and ridicule of beggars. With the help of the good man Holden, Prince Edward went through many disasters, corrected his bad habits, and finally returned to the palace. Under the condemnation of his conscience, Pauper Tom returned the throne that did not belong to him to the real prince. After that, Edward became a benevolent monarch and lived a happy life with his people. The story is extremely imaginative and the language is humorous. The poor child feels the glory, the prince experiences life. The glory shines upon people's hearts, and their lives change their beliefs. Discover, feel, love, be present! 😊
Except for the narrative that feels a bit too "verbose" (which I feel is a common problem with all foreign languages), it is really a good book! Prince Edward's experience is inspiring! Tom's experience tells us: You must have ideals in life. What if you accidentally realize it? ! Prince Edward's experience tells us: Don't make dangerous jokes casually, what if they accidentally come true? !
People who are poor are ambitious
When I saw the middle part, I really hated Tom. Edward was so pitiful and he didn't live long.
A good prince must be tolerant of others. The author vividly describes the characteristics of a prince, making people feel like he is a prince.
