This is a diary written by Tolstoy in 1910, the last year of his life. It started on January 2 and ended on November 3, 1910, with a total of 266 entries. The 82-year-old Tolstoy described his daily life, his family, the inevitable happiness or unhappiness, and his plan to run away from home for 40 years, "so that the last few days of his life could pass in loneliness and silence and hide from the world." On October 28, 1910, Tolstoy left a letter to his wife and then left home. He fell ill on the road and died on November 7 at a small station on his way away from home.
