About This Novel

This book is based on the tablets collected by Jin Provincial Book Industry Gongji in Wuchen, the 13th year of Qianlong's reign (1748), with proofreading and annotations. It is the first compiled version of Zhang Shushen's commentary on "Journey to the West" to be published. Professor Yuan Shishuo, a well-known ancient literature research expert, was specially invited to write a foreword to guide the reading path of "Journey to the West" and reveal the essence of "Journey to the West".
