About This Novel
This book includes 23 prose poems written by Mr. Lu Xun in Beijing from September 1924 to April 1926 and one "Inscription" written when compiling the collection in 1927. "Weeds" runs through serious self-dissection and unremitting ideological exploration. Its artistic features are distinctive - symbolic and metaphorical techniques, rich imagination and strange conception. Two artists, Qiu Sha and Wang Weiqun, spent their entire lives "revealing Lu Xun's ideological system" with their brushes, persisting in their exploration, painstakingly conceiving, and boldly creating. They reproduced Lu Xun's world with "accuracy in reasoning, profoundness in expression, and exquisiteness in art."
