by Lu Xun
About This Novel
"Morning Blossoms Plucked at Dusk" is a collection of essays by the modern writer Lu Xun, which includes a total of 10 memoir essays written by Lu Xun in 1926. Among them, the first five were written in Beijing and the last five were written in Xiamen. Initially, "Revisiting Old Things" was published successively in the bimonthly magazine "Wangyuan". In July 1927, Lu Xun added "Xiaoyin" and "Postscript", compiled and published them, and renamed them "Morning Blossoms Plucked at Dusk". "Morning Blossoms Plucked at Dusk" is Lu Xun's work of recalling the past. It uses life experiences in his youth as clues and combines narration and discussion, memories and reflections, lyricism and satire. It narrates a set of his life experiences from rural to urban, from family to society, and from domestic to foreign countries. It expresses his nostalgia for his past relatives, friends and teachers, and at the same time mocks and criticizes the old forces and culture.
