This book mainly focuses on the study of Six Dynasties studies in the late Qing Dynasty and the early Republic of China, including the study of the historical culture and academic culture of the Six Dynasties during this period, with a special focus on the study of Six Dynasties literature. Based on the academic perspective of "modernity", starting from the pioneering research on modern Six Dynasties studies by Zhang Taiyan, Liu Shipei and others, it gradually displays the research achievements of Six Dynasties Studies from the late Qing Dynasty and the early Republic of China until the founding of the People's Republic of China. For the convenience and completeness of writing, this book adopts a vertical and horizontal research method. On the one hand, the theme discussion is used as the outline, and on the other hand, the discussion of the same theme is slightly chronological. It not only discusses the academic historical achievements of the scholars who studied Six Dynasties Studies, but also provides an overall grasp of the theme research of Six Dynasties Studies.
