About This Novel
This book is a classroom record of the public elective course "Classical Masterpieces and Contemporary China" at Jilin University. Nine scholars from different disciplines in the field of humanities and social sciences have provided detailed, in-depth and interesting interpretations of Chinese classical masterpieces represented by the Four Great Masters from their own unique perspectives. Their interpretation is an interesting and meaningful attempt. It is not only an analysis and appreciation of classical masterpieces, but also a new exploration of the modern significance and multiple implications of classical masterpieces from the perspective of intellectual history, politics, law, sociology, education and other disciplines as China moves towards globalization.
