About This Novel

This book is Mr. Wen Yiduo's classic study of Tang poetry. Insightful comments on many poets of the Tang Dynasty. "Miscellaneous Comments on Tang Poetry" is a writing plan for the study of Tang poetry drawn up by Mr. Wen Yiduo during his lifetime. However, due to his sudden death, this task was not completed. In 1948, "The Complete Works of Wen Yiduo" edited by Zhu Ziqing, Guo Moruo, Wu Han and Ye Shengtao was preemptively released under the title "Miscellaneous Treatises on Tang Poetry" and included nine texts including "Leishu and Poetry" and "The Self-Redemption of Palace Style Poetry". Its content covers many aspects of Tang poetry, and provides unique and profound analysis of the achievements of famous poets in the Tang Dynasty, such as the "Four Heroes of the Early Tang Dynasty", Meng Haoran, Jia Dao, Cen Shen, Du Fu, Li Bai and others.
