The whole book describes the story of 108 people headed by Song Jiang who gathered in Liangshan in the late Northern Song Dynasty, and how they accepted recruitment and fought in various places after gathering. "Water Margin" is also one of the most epic works in Chinese literature. It has many versions, is widely circulated, and is very popular. "Water Margin (Abridged Edition)" is edited by Song Yunbin.
